- I purchased this trap very recently to rid the neighborhood of three nuisance coyotes taking small pets. After catching three skunks and a black lab in the trap, I finally was able to catch one of the target animals, a yearling male. Since I have security video protecting my property, I was able to "see" the actual capture of this animal via playback review. This athletic individual tried for three and a half hours to chew his way out of the trap but was not successful in doing so. I notified the manufacturer that I had some damage to the trap door panel and within a week I received a new panel along with panel clips so that I could repair the damage the coyote had done. This trap is not for trapping skunks, but with the rear release door, it is easy to transfer the skunks into another cage for remote release. As a side note, be sure to provide some means to keep a captured target animal from turning the trap over and releasing himself. The experience with the Tru Catch support people has been nothing but first rate and the trap is more than adequate. Review by Jim
